GRT Jewellers, one of south India’s premier jewellery brands, has been leading the craft of creating intricate traditional and contemporary jewellery since 1964. With great understanding and belief in the values of our society, GRT Jewellers also believes in contributing to the pillars that strengthen our community at the lowest and highest levels.

On the Occasion of Deepavali, GRT Jewellers has made a donation worth ₹50 Lakhs to two notable organisations in India that are working towards serving the society.

One of the institutions to receive aid of ₹25 Lakhs is The Cancer Institute, Chennai. Also known as the Adyar Cancer Institute, it is a non-profit cancer treatment and research centre established in 1952. With a motto of “Service to All,” a whopping forty-percentof the patients here are treated free of cost while remaining patients pay a nominalfee.

Concurrently, Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, the first ISO 9002 certified Eye Hospital in Asia and a not-for-profit missionary institution for ophthalmic carewas also handed a donation of ₹25 Lakhs.

On the day of donation handover ceremony, Mr G.R. ’Ananth’ Ananthapadmanaban, Managing Director – GRT Jewellers said, “It is quite an achievement to look at what these organisations have accomplished by themselves, but it is even more of a challenge as to what they want to achieve in the future. At GRT Jewellers, we wish to not only help these organisations aid people better, but also feel the smallest amount of pride for being able to be in service of our society.”
